Vikramjit Roy

Vikramjit has 30+ years of proven track record in establishing sustainable eco-systems that have strengthened the brand equity and reputation of a Hollywood Studio in India (Sony Pictures) and a premiere Indian Public Sector Enterprise (NFDC) globally. As the Head of India’s equivalent of a Film Commission namely the Film Facilitation Office, he set up an enabling landscape for the film sector in India through a Film in India and Cinemas of India campaign that has simplified and incentivized filmmaking, facilitates international co-productions, launches 1st time filmmakers and promotes India as a content hub. The FFO has enabled favorable policies for the Audio-Visual Sector across key Central Govt. Departments and various States of India through stakeholder engagement.

As a passionate story-teller driven by the power of the ‘local’, he Executive Produced marquee feature films such as The Lunchbox, Qissa, The Good Road, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, Chauthi Koot, Arunoday among others. He leveraged his marketing experience and understanding of India’s diverse cinematic ecology to help launch NFDC’s distribution brand Cinemas of India and build the brand-equity for South Asia’s biggest film-market Film Bazaar.

With a view to leverage his domain experience, Vikramjit decided to take the leap of faith so as to enable entrepreneurs and startups in the Media and Entertainment Industry see the ‘Big Picture’ and go global. The essence of his endeavor is to help facilitate Indian Producers globally scale up their operations and make them gradually self-reliant.

Vikramjit, has been featured as a thought leader and viewed as an Industry Influencer with a long-standing presence in KPMG and E&Y’s Reports on the Indian M&E Industry and at major global Festivals and Markets such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, AFM, Busan, FICCI FRAMES.

He was honored by Ms. Kristy Duncan Hon’ble Minister for Science, Canada at the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA) Toronto, 2016 in recognition of exemplary contribution to Indian Cinema Internationally.

SHRI RAM KISHNAN

Mr. Krishnan is a senior management professional with over 32 years of experience across multiple aspects of business. He has an in-depth understanding of commercial and financial aspects of the entertainment business. Over the last 9 years, he has been the CFO for Fox Star Studios and has been involved in all aspects of the film business across 150 films. Mr. Krishnan has been involved in some of the marquee and path breaking projects in the Indian film industry including Slumdog Millionaire, My Name is Khan, Dhoni, Avatar, etc to name a few. He has successfully led Fox’s foray into regional cinema and has been overseeing the Tamil film projects.

DEVIKA BAHUDHANAM

Devika is with Guru Films as a Creative Producer and is currently working on leading projects. She brings in over twenty years of creative and production experience in filmmaking. Her decades-long passion for this field made her shine in wide-ranging filmography; from cult classics like Rockford, to indie films like Iqbal, to runaway hits like Dor, to magnum opuses like Bahubali: The Beginning and Bahubali: The Conclusion.

Having worked as a creative and as an executive producer on several films – both shoestring, and big budget, Devika is currently handling projects for Hotstar, Netflix and Amazon in various capacities from being a creative producer to a director. Her intricate understanding of the filmmaking process gives her the edge in mounting film productions efficiently. Her passion lies in directing and she got an opportunity to debut with ‘Modern Love Hyderabad’ in 2021 on Amazon Prime. She is currently writing a show in Telugu for the same platform.

An ardent lover of every aspect of filmmaking, she is building efficient teams to mount film projects; a desperate requirement in today’s film industry.

Rituja Sawant

Rituja is passionate about stories, history and art and is driven by curiosity, awe and wonder. She has over 18 years of experience in edutainment across content development, marketing, and business strategy. Rituja holds a BE in Civil, an MA in Ancient Indian Culture and a PG Diploma in Art History. A published author, her expertise lies in curating, developing, writing and publishing content for children and young adults across fiction and non-fiction genres. She is a part of Guru Leela and Guru Publishing as the Head of New Media Strategy and is working on many exciting original and commissioned Guru Leela projects that weave ancient wisdom from global cultures with contemporary narratives.

Sudeepthi K

Sudeepthi is a digital marketing and content specialist with over five years of experience. She has worked in Chennai, Bangalore, and Dublin and holds both a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s degree in digital marketing from the University College Dublin. Her areas of expertise include email marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and branding. She is currently the digital marketing strategist at the Guru Group and has also co-hosted a podcast, ‘Queer Conversations with KayDee’. Moreover, she is a certified peer counselor.
