BHUPESH R BHUPATHI
A highly energetic and passionate filmmaker, Sunitha Tati has over 18 years of valuable media experience across Movies (Ramanaidu Studios, Suresh Productions), Indian television (TV9), Radio (Radio Mirchi of the Times Of India Group) and media house (Mirchi Movies of the Times Of India Group).
She executive produced multiple Telugu language films starting with the acclaimed ‘Hyderabad Blues’ by Nagesh Kukunoor and ‘Dollar Dreams’ by Sekhar Kammula; blockbusters films with Suresh Productions, Ramanaidu Studios as well as critically-acclaimed feature films in Hindi (‘Shor in the City’).
Sunitha went ahead and launched her own media company, ‘Guru Group’ and produced five feature films to date in Telugu and Tamil. In 2015, GURU entered the Television space with a highly successful and well acclaimed show ‘America Ammayi’ on Zee Telugu. In May 2017, GURU continued its Television success and launched another show in Star Maa called ‘Ok Jaanu’. This show is one of its kind as first urban rom-com in Telugu Daily serials.
GURU Group has many compelling stories in the pipeline and currently working with OTT platforms. Her dream is to take Guru's stories to the international market.
She is currently working and collaborating with Korean global production house, Kross Pictures in producing their highly successful content across India.
A 3D-animation expert, Yuvaraj was CEO of Bimbaa Animation Academy, Chennai, and has worked with some of the most successful animation companies in South India including Accel Animation Private Limited and Image Ventures Private Limited.
He was co-producer on the recent Tamil-Telugu hits, ‘Acham Yenbadu Madamaiyada/ Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo’ and ‘Courier Boy Kalyan/ Tamilselvanum Thanizhar Anjalum’.
He is the Chief Financial Controller of Guru Group and is also a director in Matrika Movies.
Bhupesh is an Industrial design graduate from National Institute of Design, and one of the Ace Art directors from the South Indian film industry.
Till date, he worked on 30 feature films as production designer and art director. Some of his notable film works are Malleshwari, Grahanam, Shock, Baanam, Anaganaghaga o Dheerudu, Avunu 2 and Gautamiputra Satakarni. Bhupesh designed many special props for feature films, designed and developed animatronics characters, designed and built theme park attractions and mega scale sets. Also designed and developed custom fit war costumes for major motion pictures. He worked on a very high-level designation of chief design engineer for the Prime Minister Narender Modi's 3d holographic campaign.
His vision is to create the most engaging content that is entertaining and educational for children. He is currently working as a director in Matrika Movies.
Vamsi, a gifted story teller and natural illustrator, started his education as architect and then specialized in entertainment technology from Carnegie Mellon.
He brings with him a passion for interactive storytelling in the children’s and young adults’ space backed by experience in AI (Artificial Intelligence) toy design, animation and graphic novels.
With Bachelors in Architecture from School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, Chennai, he went ahead and pursued his Masters in Entertainment Technology, Carnegie Mellon, and Pittsburgh.
Sudha Mehta is a writer and documentary filmmaker from Sri Aurobindo Center For Arts and Communication, New Delhi. Her film, The Death of Mourning (working title), is being made with a Grant from Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT).
She has been a journalist for nearly 20 years with publications like the Deccan Chronicle, Newstime and The Times of India. She was also an editor for local magazines like Wow! Hyderabad and Channel 6. She contributes to national magazines like Outlook Traveller, Good Housekeeping, India Today Travel Plus, Cosmopolitan etc. She has worked as an Editor and Public Relations manager with international organizations like ICRISAT (International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics) and as a fixer for Yann-Arthus Bertrand’s film called Human. (Bertrand is renowned French photographer and filmmaker with Luc Besson production house, Europa Corp.) She brings in her talent of writing, story telling and, now, filmmaking to the Guru Group.
Sudha will be heading the Documentary Films, Public Relations and New Media.
A natural story-teller, a two-time Nandi award-winning Voice Artist for top Tollywood actors like Anushka Shetty (including the recent much acclaimed and successful franchise ‘Baahubali’), Kajal Aggarwal and Nayanatara. A talented singer with many films to her credit and Radio Jockey at Radio Mirchi, Sowmya brings with her a three years of experience of writing for television soaps and popular cartoon shows – ‘Chhota Bheem’ and ‘Mighty Raju’ -- on POGO and Disney. When she is not writing, she is off trekking into the wilds of Himachal Pradesh, as she is dreaming up her own ‘Star Wars’ story.
She was the writer of ‘America Ammayi’, the most successful show on Zee Telugu. Her other works include ‘Geethanjali’, a horror thriller; and ‘Pakkinti Ammayi’, a romantic family drama, both for Zee Telugu. In May 2017, her new series OK JAANU is airing on Star Maa.
She is also writing for multiple OTT platforms both at national and vernacular levels.
Previous Peace Corps vagrant and FLAS (Fellowship in Language and Area Studies) recipient, Mukesh fell in love with the movies when he was in Africa. He was accepted and completed the Universal Pictures Leadership Program, where he got to peek behind the curtain and see movie magic firsthand.
A filmmaking hack, he received the AWC fellowship from Visual Communications and was nominated for the NBCU Directors Program. His passport is also full of stamps and probably needs more pages.
Pradeepa is passionate about using media and technology to empower disenfranchised communities. She was the Head of Development at Machinima, an online entertainment network for gamers, creators and fans. She was featured in Variety magazine's '40 under-40 digital leaders in Hollywood'.
She also founded Jeeva Productions to bring her digital expertise to non-profits and worked with SERVE Institute in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. While there, she trained educators who went on to create over 200 online courses in partnership with Tamil teachers to improve education in Sri Lanka.
Pradeepa also headed production for The YOMYOM Network and launched social impact digital campaigns for thetruth.com and bedsider.org. Pradeepa has a BA in International Relations from the University of Minnesota.
